Dietitian & Diabetes Educator
I am an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Credentialed Diabetes Educator (CDE). I am passionate about providing dietary advice, diabetes education and support for patients with gestational diabetes and type 2 diabetes as well as dietary advice for patients with obesity, metabolic syndrome, heart disease, renal disease, liver disease and food allergies or intolerances. I am fluent in English and Mandarin.
I have a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics degree from the University of Sydney and I have been practising as an accredited dietitian since 1999. I have been a diabetes educator since 2008, after completing my second post-graduate certificate from UTS. I have been in private practice for over 15 years and have a conjoint appointment with the University of Western Sydney.
I started working at Sunrise Endocrinology as a Practice Receptionist in June 2021. I am thankful to Dr Monika for giving me the opportunity to work in her practice and provide the utmost quality of service, to not only our patients but to Dr Monika Fazekas-Lavu, Dr Amanda Hor & Angela Hsiao.
Prior to working with the team, I worked as an Administrator Assistant within an Income Protection Insurance company for 2.5 years.
In my free time, I enjoy doing a little retail therapy, travelling and spending quality time with my family.
I started working with Sunrise Endocrinology as a Practice Receptionist in November 2022. I am excited to be part of a warm and welcoming team where quality care and support is the driving force behind the professional services offered by Dr Monika Fazekas-Lavu, Dr Amanda Hor and Angela Hsiao.
Prior to joining the team, I worked within the Advertising and Media industries in Account Management and Client Servicing roles.
I enjoy reading, traveling, and discovering new recipes and places to eat with friends and family.
